Team Leader - Circular Economy & Green Transition

About the role

NTU International A/S, an international consulting firm providing project management and technical advisory services, is recruiting a highly qualified Team Leader (Category I) for an EU-funded project in Guatemala: "Support to Enhancing Circular Economy in the Motagua River Basin". The position covers strategic leadership, overall project management and technical coordination of the assignment, with an indicative start date of 11 January 2027 and a duration of 40 months.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and execute the assignment, implementing the activities for Guatemala as set out in the biannually approved work plan.
• Handle incidental expenses and actions approved by the EU Delegation in Guatemala.
• Carry out technical assistance requests made by the client.

Required profile

• Degree of at least 4 years in sustainable finance, economics, international trade, public-private relations, engineering or circular economy, or a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of proven experience in the same fields.
• At least 12 years managing international cooperation programmes and projects.
• Proven experience in green transition sectors (water and sanitation, waste, energy, biodiversity) and private sector development policy and reform; experience with development banks and investment organisms is an asset.
• At least 10 years in circular economy, preferably in public policy, financing, private sector, engineering, development and trade, with international experience in different countries; experience in European countries and in more than three Latin American countries is an advantage.
• Spanish C2 (mandatory) and English C1 (mandatory).
