Technical Application Specialist – CoreLab

About the role

The Technical Application Specialist – CoreLab will support Abbott’s Nutrition Business in Guatemala City by building customer relationships, promoting diagnostic services, and delivering technical solutions for laboratory instruments. You will act as a consultant, providing training, troubleshooting, and product introductions to ensure optimal use of Abbott’s diagnostic platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide training and after‑sales support to customers, including instrument installation, demonstrations and problem solving.
• Perform medical‑scientific presentations, respond to customer queries/complaints promptly, and ensure instrument functionality.
• Support marketing launches, develop educational programs with the sales force, and prepare reports for the parent company.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological sciences, engineering or a health‑related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar technical or laboratory role.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Experience with diagnostic industry equipment and laboratory routines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, Power Point, Word).
