About the role

As a Technology Integration Technician at AKTIVA, you will install, configure and commission automation, audio‑video, networking and security solutions for residential, commercial and institutional projects across Guatemala. You will work on integrating smart lighting, BMS, CCTV, access control and IP connectivity into cohesive, reliable ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure automation and smart lighting systems on site.
• Set up audio, video and security equipment, ensuring proper integration with other subsystems.
• Perform basic network cabling, structured wiring and IP connectivity tasks.
• Conduct tests, diagnostics and initial adjustments to guarantee system performance.
• Document configurations, read technical schematics and update project records.
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers and clients to coordinate implementation schedules and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Technical training in electronics, telecommunications, IT, electrical engineering or equivalent experience in system integration.
• Hands‑on ability to install and configure automation, lighting, AV and security devices.
• Basic knowledge of data networks, structured cabling and IP communication.
• Capability to perform simple tests, diagnostics and initial troubleshooting following company procedures.
• Proficiency in reading plans, schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, teamwork and detail‑orientation with a customer‑service focus.
• Willingness to work onsite in Guatemala and travel to project locations; basic English is a plus.
