Traffic Operations Coordinator – Logistics

About the role

Xpress Line Logistics is seeking a Traffic Operations Coordinator to manage the planning, execution, and documentation of container road transport between ports and client facilities in Guatemala. The role ensures smooth coordination among customers, carriers, and drivers, from service assignment to final invoicing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and assign trips, confirming the availability of vehicles, equipment and drivers.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries and container returns at ports, client sites and warehouses.
• Monitor trips in real time, communicating progress, estimated arrival times and any operational changes.
• Verify required documentation for carriers, vehicles and drivers.
• Anticipate delays, manage incidents and arrange solutions to meet client commitments.
• Collect delivery receipts and closure documents to support billing and settlement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of movements, authorized costs, incidents and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ground transport operations of cargo, especially containers.
• Knowledge of Guatemalan routes, port procedures and transport documentation.
• Experience coordinating contracted carriers and directly supervising drivers.
• Ability to handle multiple trips simultaneously, set priorities and make timely decisions.
• Professional communication, attention to detail and strong service orientation.
