Transport Coordinator

About the role

The Transport Coordinator is responsible for executing transport operations and ensuring accurate freight reconciliation in line with the SAPS industrial safety program. The role involves daily interaction with haulers, finance, and internal teams to maintain smooth fuel and lubricant logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily PEG & EGU fuel freight reconciliation, update weekly freight reports and distribute them to haulers.
• Monitor fuel deliveries to BtB and RET customers, report mechanical failures, and manage claims from haulers or customers.
• Register drivers and units in Navision, track unit locations via GPS, and handle deviations or delays.
• Prepare weekly freight reconciliation reports for finance, review lubricant freight, and generate purchase orders.
• Process transport credit notes, register missing items, and compile reports for supplier performance evaluation.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, production, logistics or transportation.
• Experience managing databases and understanding national geography.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
• General knowledge of mechanics and logistics.
