About the role

The Occupational Health and Safety Assistant will support the safe operation of the Municipal building in Escuintla. Working closely with Spectrum’s safety team, the assistant ensures that all health and safety standards are applied daily by employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with Spectrum’s occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily safety inspections on site and report any non‑conformities.
• Coordinate with contractors to guarantee that safety measures are implemented during construction activities.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training.

Required profile

• Technical graduate in Occupational Health and Safety, paramedic, emergency medical technician or firefighter.
• Specialized coursework or certification in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety (mandatory).
• Minimum two years of experience in industrial safety within the construction sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
