Backend Developer Support – Go (Hybrid, Guatemala City)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer Support specialist to ensure continuous operation of our backend services in production environments. The role combines development, analysis, and incident resolution to maintain stability, performance, and availability of applications while collaborating closely with frontend, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve production incidents to guarantee service continuity.
• Implement hot‑fixes, adjustments, or minor improvements based on client reports or internal analysis.
• Create and maintain technical support tickets documenting causes, actions, and proposed solutions.
• Apply best practices in version control, support branch management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Assess the impact of changes on services, dependencies, or infrastructure in production.
• Propose preventive actions and strategies to optimize efficiency, security, and performance of backend services.
• Ensure technical documentation complies with company guidelines.
• Participate in technical meetings and code reviews to improve overall ecosystem stability.
• Develop and deploy technical solutions derived from support tickets, ensuring proper implementation, validation, and operational continuity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development and production support.
• Availability to work on‑site twice a month (2 days per fortnight) at our office in Zone 4, Guatemala City.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for high‑availability, critical services.

Required skills

• Programming language: Go.
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (preferably OpenShift).
• Databases and messaging: Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, SQL Server.
• Monitoring, logging, and incident diagnostics.
• Version control: Git.
• Continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Agile development methodologies.
