Contador Financiero Temporal – Multinacional Agrícola

About the role

We are looking for a Temporary Financial Accountant to join a multinational agricultural company in Guatemala City. The role supports the Planning & Control area, ensuring accurate accounting and financial information management.

Key responsibilities

• Record and review accounting entries, invoices, provisions, policies and reclassifications.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and fixed assets.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account integrations.
• Execute monthly close processes and assist in preparing financial statements.
• Prepare and verify tax filings (VAT, income tax, withholdings) and ensure compliance.
• Generate financial reports, variance analysis, cost and expense reporting.
• Support internal, fiscal and financial audits.
• Participate in physical inventories and stock reconciliations as needed.
• Use Excel and ERP systems for controls, analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Certified Accountant (Perito Contador) required.
• Advanced or completed studies in Public Accounting and Auditing.
• 3‑5 years of full‑cycle accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Guatemalan tax and accounting legislation.
• Intermediate‑advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Available to work onsite in Guatemala City, Monday‑Friday 6 am‑3 pm.
• Willingness to travel for occasional site visits, inventory checks or audits.
