Documentation Executive – Export & Import

About the role

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking a dedicated Documentation Executive to join its Guatemala team. The role focuses on facilitating export and import cargo movements, ensuring accurate shipping documentation, and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and transmit export and import shipping documents, manifests, corrections, and cargo releases.
• Coordinate with ports, warehouses, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and shared service centers.
• Ensure timely submission of customs references and compliance with cut‑off dates for vessel arrivals, departures, and closures.
• Monitor and resolve shipment‑related exceptions using the LMS system.
• Track outstanding revenue, communicate with stakeholders, and guarantee correct invoicing of shipments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of export and import customs requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry.
• Proven experience with sea‑shipping documentation and customs processes.

Required skills

• LMS (Logistics Management System) usage for handling shipment exceptions.
