Elementary Level English Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Elementary English Teacher to join Liceo Guatemala in Guatemala City. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, age‑appropriate English lessons to students in the elementary grades, fostering both language development and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily English lessons covering reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a respectful, inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student development.
• Participate in school meetings, events and collaborative curriculum planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English or a related field.
• Teaching certification or license (highly desirable).
• Proven experience teaching English at the elementary level.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school team.
