Email Marketing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Lifecycle/Email Marketing Specialist to own the email channel for a fast‑growing education software company. The position is fully remote for candidates authorized to work from Guatemala and combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and run the end‑to‑end email marketing program, including strategy, campaign build, QA, scheduling and reporting.
• Design lifecycle programs to convert free users to paid, win back lapsed subscribers and retain existing customers.
• Build and maintain audience segments, automated journeys and triggered flows.
• Manage offer strategy and an annual send calendar aligned with the school‑year cycle.
• Oversee deliverability, list health, bounce rates, suppression lists and sender authentication.
• Plan, execute and interpret A/B tests, delivering actionable performance insights.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude to draft copy, analyse data and refine strategy.
• Audit the existing program, establish revenue‑driving metrics and implement measurable improvements in the first six months.

Required profile

• Fluent English (written and spoken) for effective communication.
• 3+ years of marketing experience with demonstrable results.
• 1+ year hands‑on experience with an enterprise ESP/lifecycle platform.
• Proven ability to set strategy and execute it independently.
• Heavy fluency with AI tools and sound judgment for human review.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret campaign metrics and distinguish signal from noise.
• Effective collaboration skills for remote team environments.
• Bonus: experience in subscription/freemium models or education‑technology sector.
