Engineering Manager – Core Systems & Architecture

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to own backend architecture, drive technical strategy, and lead a frontend engineering team as we scale our core platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own backend architecture using Python, Django, FastAPI, Celery and PostgreSQL.
• Lead critical integrations with Boulevard, Stripe, Shopify and Twilio.
• Manage and mentor a three‑person frontend team.
• Drive scalability, technical strategy, CI/CD pipelines and engineering standards.
• Establish best practices for AI‑assisted development.
• Help shape the technical roadmap as the platform grows.

Required profile

• 8+ years of production software engineering experience.
• Strong backend and Python expertise.
• Advanced PostgreSQL performance‑optimization experience.
• Experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Proven experience owning third‑party API integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with Claude Code, Cursor or similar AI tools.
• Strong people leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent English.

What we offer

• Salary: $70,000–$80,000 USD per year.
• Fully remote work (LATAM candidates only).
