Finance Director (Strategic Finance Lead)

About the role

Devsu is seeking a Finance Director to act as a strategic partner to leadership while overseeing financial operations across the company. This remote position focuses on financial visibility, planning, and decision support rather than traditional bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process for multiple entities and prepare balance sheet, P&L, and cash‑flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with Ecuadorian accounting, tax and labor regulations and coordinate U.S. GAAP reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning; build and maintain financial models to support growth decisions.
• Provide profitability, cost‑structure and cash‑flow insights to guide pricing, expansion and efficiency initiatives.
• Design and implement cost‑control frameworks, improve reporting clarity and internal controls through automation and AI.
• Support cross‑border structure optimization and tax efficiency in collaboration with external advisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including multi‑entity or international operations.
• Strong knowledge of Ecuadorian accounting and tax regulations (required) and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and FP&A analysis.
• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong business acumen.
