Financial Planning Analyst – Opex FP&A

About the role

We are seeking an FP&A Opex Analyst to support the operational management of operating expenses and contribute to finance transformation initiatives. The role combines hands‑on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting while improving processes and decision‑support tools for business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting for Opex across multiple functions.
• Prepare and maintain financial models, dashboards and reports to track Opex performance and identify trends.
• Conduct variance analysis, provide insights on spending trends, risks and opportunities.
• Assist business leaders with data‑driven analysis for planning and decision‑making.
• Participate in monthly close activities including accruals, allocations and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across planning and reporting systems.
• Maintain and automate Opex reporting templates where possible.
• Partner with Accounting and Finance teams for data validation and reporting requirements.
• Evaluate existing FP&A and Opex processes, support standardisation, automation and reporting enhancements.
• Contribute to best‑practice documentation, governance frameworks and finance transformation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis or corporate finance.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, financial modelling).
• Experience with planning and reporting tools such as Adaptive Insights, Power BI or Tableau.
