About the role

PriceSmart is looking for a motivated HR Generalist to join its team. In this role you will help shape and execute human‑resources strategies that attract, develop, and retain talent while ensuring compliance with local labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and administer HR programs, policies, and procedures.
• Support the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and country regulations.
• Assist with the induction process for new hires, reinforcing HR manual guidelines.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of training and development initiatives.
• Manage departmental development, HR information systems, labor relations, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and recruitment activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a retail sales environment.
• Understanding of local labor regulations and employment law.
• Strong alignment with company values such as integrity, respect, responsibility, passion, community, and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Experience using AS400 systems.
