Gerente General – Sector Belleza

About the role

The company is a well‑established beauty operation in Guatemala, active in shopping‑mall retail, wholesale and e‑commerce. It seeks a General Manager to lead the business unit, define long‑term strategy and be accountable for profit, cash generation and overall results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute 1‑, 3‑ and 5‑year strategic plans and own the unit’s P&L.
• Manage relationships with mall administrators, overseeing store openings, remodels and closures.
• Set wholesale commercial policy, including pricing, credit terms and portfolio management.
• Design category portfolio architecture and negotiate with national and international suppliers.
• Interpret financial statements, control budgets and working capital.
• Lead the annual marketing plan, integrating physical and digital channels.
• Recruit, develop and retain commercial and executive teams.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years in commercial or operational leadership, with at least 5 years as General Manager or business‑unit head in beauty retail.
• Experience running 10+ stores and teams of 50+ people.
• Proven B2B sales experience with distributors or beauty chains.
• Deep knowledge of skincare, cosmetics, fragrance, hair care and professional hair‑care channels.
• Track record of opening malls stores and managing multi‑channel retail.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to build budgets independently.
• Business‑level English.
