About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to design and review high‑voltage transmission line and substation projects according to client needs. The position is full‑time and onsite in Las Charcas, Mixco, Guatemala.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review high‑voltage transmission line and substation projects.
• Prepare and check drawings, calculation reports and technical specifications.
• Evaluate design alternatives from technical and economic perspectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable CNEE and AMM standards.
• Coordinate engineering with protection, control, civil, structural and telecommunications disciplines.
• Select and technically review high‑voltage equipment and materials.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with other engineering departments to ensure integrated project design.
• Support technical supervision of site execution when required.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in electrical design, drafting and preparation of calculation memoranda.
• Strong knowledge of CNEE standards (NEAST, NTAUCT, NTCSTS, NTDOID, NTDOST, NTT) and AMM operational (NCO) and commercial (NCC) norms.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Good organization, attention to detail and clear communication with clients and technical staff.
