Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Guatemala. You will support daily accounting operations and help ensure accurate financial reporting for our airline and airport services business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and record monthly closing entries and provisions for GCG and Zulu.
• Perform bank reconciliations for GCG and Zulu accounts.
• Integrate and reconcile assigned balance‑sheet accounts for both entities.
• Calculate taxes, complete tax forms (2‑4), and manage tax payments including ISR, IVA, and other withholdings.
• Review and process payroll‑related tax payments such as employee ISR and IGSS contributions.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
• Good understanding of Guatemalan tax regulations and payroll concepts.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
