About the role

Grupo IMD is looking for a Leader of Architecture and Planning to drive the transformation of commercial concepts and client requirements into technically viable, quantified, and execution‑ready architectural solutions. The role goes beyond conceptual design, requiring a deep understanding of how each solution is manufactured, modularized, anchored, installed, and built on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Architecture and Planning department, planning, distributing and supervising the team’s workload.
• Develop functional, aesthetic, and constructively feasible architectural proposals.
• Translate client concepts and requirements into ready‑to‑budget and execute solutions.
• Create and review architectural, construction, workshop, elevation, section, and installation detail drawings.
• Design modularizations, breakdowns, and details for joints, terminations, transitions, and fixings.
• Document installation criteria, metallic sub‑structures, anchors, and support systems.
• Coordinate with structural engineers to validate anchors, loads, structures, and special solutions.
• Interpret architectural, structural, electrical, and other specialty plans.
• Conduct technical surveys and verify that plan dimensions match real‑world conditions.
• Identify interferences, technical risks, construction constraints, and discrepancies between plans and site.
• Prepare and review quantity take‑offs, material lists, breakdowns, and waste percentages.
• Validate that quantities in quotations and purchase orders are technically correct.
• Produce technical scopes, descriptive memoranda, specifications, product data sheets, and tender documentation.
• Technically coordinate with Commercial, Purchasing, Imports, Operations, and Warehouse areas.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, supervisors, designers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Track revisions, approvals, and change requests throughout project development.
• Maintain up‑to‑date drawings, budgets, scopes, and related documents.
• Deliver complete, clear, and properly documented technical dossiers to Operations.
• Provide technical support during execution and resolve on‑site queries.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading architectural projects of medium to high complexity.
• Strong design capability combined with solid technical judgment.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing, modularization, anchoring, installation, and construction processes.
• Ability to bridge conceptual design with practical execution requirements.
