Logistics & Import/Export Assistant

About the role

The company seeks a detail‑oriented Logistics Assistant to support the full cycle of import, export and customs procedures. The role involves coordinating national and international transportation, managing documentation, and collaborating with accounting and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Track purchase orders and coordinate national and international freight.
• Prepare and review customs documents such as DUCAs, complementary DUCAs, FYDUCA and import permits.
• Classify tariff items and control export documentation.
• Enter raw‑material data using prorations and liaise with the accounting department.
• Obtain quotations from carriers, shipping lines, customs agents and courier services (e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS).
• Maintain operational reports and manage the area’s petty cash.

Required profile

• Completed or graduating studies in Industrial Engineering, International Trade, Business Administration, Customs Administration or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in logistics, import/export, customs agencies or shipping companies.
• Intermediate English (approximately 75%) for written communication with international suppliers.
• Ability to work on‑site in Zona 4, Mixco (El Naranjo).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and DUCAs.
• Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, reporting, prorations).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo or SAP (preferred).

What we offer

• Salary between Q7,000 and Q7,500, depending on experience.
• Work schedule: Monday‑Thursday 08:00‑17:00, Friday 08:00‑16:00, occasional Saturday availability.
