Mobile Engineer (React Native)

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Mobile Engineer specialized in React Native to develop point‑of‑sale (POS) tablet applications and related backend services for a leading quick‑service restaurant platform. You will work within an established architecture, delivering TypeScript features and Node.js endpoints while ensuring offline‑first reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement React Native and TypeScript features for the POS tablet app.
• Develop and maintain Node.js service endpoints using TypeScript.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and participate in peer code reviews.
• Debug and resolve defects and production issues for your components.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) in daily work.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with production delivery.
• Hands‑on experience building offline‑first or local‑first data sync using CRDT frameworks (e.g., Automerge, Ditto).
• Strong proficiency in React Native, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of data structures, API design, debugging, and testing.
• Experience with REST APIs, service‑based architectures, and persistence layers.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
