About the role
The Farm Operative will carry out field activities according to established procedures to ensure optimal farm performance. This position focuses on the care and management of pigs, including feeding, health monitoring, and biosecurity.
Key responsibilities
- Execute both automated and manual pig feeding processes, providing feed and water while minimizing waste.
- Monitor equipment operation to maintain suitable environmental conditions for animal performance.
- Inspect animal health and mortality rates, ensuring timely medication administration or removal of affected animals.
- Review pig batches to identify and address low‑performing individuals.
- Implement biosecurity measures in the work area to protect animal health.
- Receive, load, and transport animals according to procedural guidelines, ensuring correct placement within the value chain.
Required profile
- Secondary education (high school) or equivalent.
- 0‑2 years of experience in a similar agricultural or livestock role.
- Basic knowledge of animal care and farm operations.
