Paid Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Athena is scaling its Growth team and needs a hands‑on Paid Acquisition Specialist to own the paid growth mix for the supply side of the business. You will manage end‑to‑end execution across Google, LinkedIn, Meta and emerging channels, driving volume while lowering cost per qualified applicant.

Key responsibilities

• Operate all paid acquisition channels (Google, LinkedIn, Meta, emerging platforms) with full accountability for performance.
• Define channel mix, creative strategy and budget allocation based on business goals.
• Collaborate with designers and recruitment to produce high‑performing ad creative.
• Monitor performance, cohort quality and funnel metrics, linking spend to applicant and hire outcomes.
• Run structured experiments on audiences, copy, landing pages and creative to improve applicant quality and cost per hire.
• Stay current on paid media trends, new technologies and channel innovations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of performance marketing experience, preferably in a recruitment environment.
• Proven ability to manage large ad budgets (>$100K USD/month) across multiple channels.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting cohort analysis, funnel reporting and attribution data.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally with Growth, Marketing, Recruitment and Data teams.

Required skills

• Performance marketing on Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads and emerging platforms.
• Creative testing and brief development for multiple ad formats.
• Data fluency with cohort analysis, funnel reporting and attribution tools.
• Technical marketing infrastructure knowledge (tracking pixels, UTM parameters, attribution logic).
• Use of AI tools to accelerate creative production and campaign analysis.
