Regional Human Resource Director – Central America

About the role

The Regional Human Resource Director will partner with country leadership across Central America to shape and execute HR strategy that aligns with Edify’s mission. This senior role oversees all HR functions, ensures compliance with local laws, and supports staff development in a fast‑growing non‑profit environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Regional Vice President and country senior leaders to define staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies.
• Design, implement, and monitor HR policies, processes, training, and surveys in line with global standards.
• Administer compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary actions, investigations, performance management, and occupational health and safety programs.
• Identify staffing needs, plan for growth, and lead talent acquisition and onboarding initiatives.
• Ensure HR compliance with local legal requirements and Edify’s values.
• Support employee engagement, recognition, and morale through targeted programs.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably in non‑profit or international education settings.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and talent management.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with multicultural teams.
• Ability to travel regionally and attend annual all‑staff meetings.
