Regulatory Specialist

About the role

The Regulatory Specialist ensures safe operations and compliance with all applicable regulatory and documentation requirements within the assigned vertical. Based in Guatemala, the role involves preparing quality information packages, managing document change notifications, and issuing compliant product information such as labels and safety data sheets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with corporate regulatory, commercial, operations, and purchasing teams to meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date regulatory documents and ensure they are readily available.
• Manage regulatory and safety electronic databases.
• Complete customer regulatory requests and documentation promptly and accurately.
• Provide auditing support for other regulatory team members.
• Research regulations, summarise findings and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
• Promote Barentz’s culture, values and fundamentals.
• Participate in ongoing personal development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemistry or a related science.
• At least 3 years of experience in a regulatory or compliance role (preferred).
• Familiarity with regulatory software such as Datacor, Chempax, and Sharepoint, as well as Quality Assurance programs.
• Fluent English at C1/C2 level.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.
• Calm and effective communication under high‑pressure situations.
• Self‑motivated, high energy, and a positive outlook.
• Commitment to ethical conduct in line with Barentz’s purpose and values.
