Senior Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

DHL Express is seeking a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance and quality control personnel. The role ensures aircraft and engine systems are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards while supporting the company’s commitment to excellence in express delivery and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with maintenance staff and quality control to resolve recurring defects in structures, engines, components, and aircraft.
• Ensure all scheduled maintenance activities are completed within approved timeframes.
• Prepare heavy‑maintenance forecasts for aircraft and engines, accounting for labor, tools, equipment, parts, and materials.
• Verify completion of non‑routine work packages and task cards, ensuring proper signatures per DHL policies.
• Generate and track parts requisitions to keep aircraft airworthy.
• Enforce safety precautions and industrial safety standards during all assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with the maintenance planner to guarantee adequate manpower and energy resources for timely task execution.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date TRAX data for all assigned maintenance tasks.
• Develop and review internal procedures related to departmental duties.
• Promptly inform the maintenance administrator of any potential safety or operational issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DGAC technical license type 1 (aircraft structures and power‑plant qualification).
• FAA A&P license.
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or equivalent supervisory role.
• Intermediate to advanced oral and written English proficiency.

Required skills

• FAA A&P licensing.

• Proficiency with aircraft maintenance technical manuals.
• Advanced use of the TRAX maintenance tracking system.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities in an aviation maintenance environment.
