Senior Transaction Monitoring Analyst – Financial Crimes Investigator

About the role

As a Senior Transaction Monitoring Analyst you will lead in‑depth investigations of fraud, money‑laundering and Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) cases. You will work closely with frontline agents, compliance officers and cross‑functional teams to protect the platform’s integrity and maintain customer trust.

Key responsibilities

• Review dispositions from frontline agents, verify research accuracy and decide on escalation.
• Conduct risk evaluations of escalated cases and determine whether to close or forward to Compliance Officers.
• Utilise global legal, cybersecurity platforms and OSINT sources to validate user identities and detect debit/credit‑card fraud.
• Document investigation narratives, highlight red flags and provide clear decision rationales.
• Research individuals, entities and events through public records, open‑source intelligence and vendor systems.
• Analyse KYC information, transaction history and intelligence data to identify unusual activity.
• Recommend and draft updates to policies, procedures and training materials.
• Identify fraud trends, support regulator inquiries and contribute to ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
• At least 1 year of experience in financial crimes, fraud or AML compliance.
• Strong analytical mindset, investigative skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Preferred: 1.5 years in law enforcement, fraud, AML or related discipline.

• Data visualization tools for risk reporting.
