About the role

As an External Audit Staff at Deloitte in Guatemala City, you will support audit engagements, gaining hands‑on experience across the planning, testing and reporting phases. You will help clients validate financial information for senior management, boards, investors, lenders and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of external audit engagements from planning to final reporting.
• Perform substantive testing and evaluate internal controls over financial statements.
• Utilize data‑analysis tools to assess audit risks and design efficient audit procedures.
• Prepare and review workpapers in accordance with IFRS and ISA standards.
• Collaborate with multicultural teams to deliver high‑quality audit solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or Auditing.
• 1–2 years of experience in external audit or accounting.
• Intermediate proficiency in English (desired).
• Full‑time availability.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Knowledge of ISA (International Standards on Auditing).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
