Supervisor Senior de Producción y Excelencia Operacional

About the role

Colombina is seeking a Senior Production and Operational Excellence Supervisor to lead the integrated planning and execution of plant operations. The role requires a chemical or food engineering graduate, preferably with a related master’s degree, to coordinate production, guide teams, and translate operational needs into clear, efficient execution plans.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the plant’s overall schedule, balancing capacity, personnel, materials, equipment, priorities and production commitments.
• Lead, mentor and monitor junior supervisors and operational teams.
• Ensure production targets, productivity, efficiency, yield, quality, safety, food safety and cost objectives are met.
• Analyze operational deviations and make timely decisions to maintain process continuity.
• Drive industrial trials, process changes and validations, delivering concise technical reports with results and recommendations.
• Prepare and present performance indicators, executive reports and management analyses for decision‑making.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Kaizen, root‑cause analysis, 5S and other operational excellence tools.
• Participate in internal and external audits, identify risks, provide evidence and ensure effective closure of findings.
• Promote a culture of operational discipline, prevention, commitment and problem solving.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Food Engineering; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial production processes, preferably in food or mass‑consumer plants.
• Proven experience planning or coordinating production across multiple lines, shifts or areas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead supervisors and operational teams.
• Willingness to reside in Escuintla or nearby areas and to work rotating shifts, including occasional weekends.
