About the role

The Ink Mixing Technician is responsible for preparing, formulating, and adjusting inks to meet customer quality standards. The role provides technical support on the production floor, assisting with color matching, on‑machine corrections, and monitoring the products used during printing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare inks and colors according to production schedules.
• Control quality of solvent, water‑based, or paste base inks against approved standards.
• Perform on‑machine color matching, adjustments, and corrections.
• Formulate inks and keep formulas and standards up to date.
• Provide technical assistance on presses, solving issues related to color, viscosity, and drying.
• Generate quality certificates, samples, and batch release documentation.
• Record ink consumption, weight, returns, and inventory movements.
• Support physical inventories of pure and diluted inks.
• Maintain updated standard folders and printed samples.
• Complete service records, forms, and performance indicators.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and equipment in good condition.
• Respond to emergencies, complaints, or issues during printing.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma (any specialization).
• Previous experience in a production plant.
• Knowledge of color theory and ink formulation.
• Familiarity with printing systems such as flexography, rotogravure, corrugating, or offset.
• Understanding of industrial safety practices.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to work on‑site and cover shift schedules.
• Availability to handle technical emergencies on machines.
