Job description

About the role

Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for US clients. As a Web Design Systems Designer you own the creation of client design systems, turning brand guidelines into reusable token architectures and component libraries.

Key responsibilities

Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that our pipeline can read predictably.
Ship core component libraries that hold up across entire sites, not just homepages.
Document the system so developers or automated pipelines can execute it without questions.
Work across several client brands simultaneously, maintaining distinct visual identities with the same structural rigor.

Required profile

4+ years designing for the web with real design‑system work in your portfolio.
Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto‑layout, and variants.
Portfolio showing varied client work while maintaining consistent underlying rigor.
Strong English skills and ability to overlap with US business hours.

Required skills

Figma (variables, component properties, auto‑layout, variants)
