Data Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to own end‑to‑end data pipelines and migrations on Azure. You will design, build, and support reliable, production‑ready data solutions that power our web and mobile applications while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design and execute data migrations between systems.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
• Build and maintain production data pipelines and APIs.
• Develop scripts and services for data movement and validation.
• Model data and analyze source and target schemas.
• Write complex SQL queries and work with relational (SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues during migration.
• Support the full lifecycle: design, development, deployment, testing, monitoring, and ongoing support.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
• At least 5 years delivering production software solutions.
• Experience with transactional or financial data is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Python (production pipelines).
• SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Azure data tools (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric).
• Git or other distributed version control systems.
• REST APIs, JSON, testing, security, and performance best practices.
