Program Manager – Training Transformation

About the role

As a Program Manager for Training Transformation at TELUS Digital, you will be the execution engine behind a strategic training overhaul. Reporting to senior leadership, you will translate vision into concrete results, ensuring every initiative launches on time, stays on track, and meets its intended outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the active execution of the transformation roadmap, holding all workstreams accountable.
• Convert program vision into clear, actionable plans for project‑manager cells and specialist teams.
• Monitor progress at the program level, flagging initiatives that are ahead, behind, or at risk.
• Remove blockers, resolve cross‑team dependencies, and escalate issues that could jeopardize delivery.
• Directly manage two cells of Project Managers, providing direction, prioritisation, and performance oversight.
• Lead Business Analysts, Learning Experience Designers, and Training SMEs to ensure collaboration and alignment.
• Coach team members, develop capabilities, and step in hands‑on for client presentations or escalations when needed.
• Establish and maintain the program’s operating cadence, including status meetings, review checkpoints, and decision forums.
• Ensure consistent project‑management standards, reporting formats, and a clear view of the full program portfolio.
• Coordinate resource allocation across PM cells, flag capacity issues early, and propose solutions.
• Own program‑level reporting to senior leaders and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams in a program or project‑management environment.
• Strong ability to translate strategic direction into detailed execution plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of removing blockers and escalating issues appropriately.
• Hands‑on leadership style, willing to step into client presentations or critical workstreams when needed.
• Ability to maintain clear, measurable progress tracking and reporting.
