Product Architect – Technical Lead for Scalable Solutions

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Product Architect to own the technical direction of its product portfolio. You will translate product requirements into robust, scalable architectures while collaborating closely with product management and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the existing codebase through hands‑on experimentation.
• Design and document scalable, maintainable software architectures that meet current and future product needs.
• Assess technical delivery, ensuring adherence to best‑practice and architectural standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and workflows.
• Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap, requirements, and release schedules.
• Identify technical gaps in the end‑user experience and propose practical solutions.
• Estimate development effort, propose alternatives, and prioritize tasks.
• Provide hands‑on support for escalated customer issues, diagnosing and resolving complex problems.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, especially AI‑assisted development tools, and evaluate their relevance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
• Strong background in software testing products, particularly TestRail.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self‑directed, intellectually curious, and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in PHP.
• Proficiency in MySQL.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Experience with TestRail.
