Senior Human Resources Manager

About the role

Moder is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead HR operations in Guatemala and partner closely with Operations and global HR teams. The role calls for a leader who can manage employee relations, ensure compliance with Guatemalan labor law, and use workforce data to improve retention and employee experience in a fast-paced BPO environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the local HR team and oversee day-to-day HR operations.
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with Guatemalan labor law and applicable MINTRAB, IGSS, IRTRA and INTECAP requirements.
• Partner with Operations leaders on retention, engagement, performance and workforce planning.
• Analyze HR metrics, identify trends and recommend practical improvements.
• Collaborate with global HR and support talent, compensation and benefits initiatives.
• Provide HR support aligned with the needs of a 24/7 operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including 3–5 years in an HR leadership role.
• At least 5 years of experience in a BPO, contact center or shared services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Guatemalan labor law and demonstrated experience with employee relations, investigations and compliance.
• Experience leading HR teams and using workforce metrics to guide decisions.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1–C2).
• Flexibility to support operational needs outside standard business hours when required.
• Authorized to work in Guatemala; relocation sponsorship not available.
