Training and Events Assistant

About the role

The Training and Events Assistant will support the USDA‑Food for Progress funded ATraCSI project, helping to plan, coordinate and implement trainings, capacity‑building activities and events across the Northern Central America region (El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras). Based in Guatemala City, the role works closely with technical, administrative and monitoring‑evaluation teams to ensure smooth execution of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and proactively manage the calendar of trainings, events, meetings and project travel.
• Translate technical activity plans into detailed operational requirements, including logistics, participant lists, travel arrangements, materials, vendors and documentation.
• Coordinate administrative processes, track deadlines, and follow up on pending actions to keep activities on schedule.
• Support the preparation of training materials, event agendas, and post‑event reporting.
• Assist with the close‑out of activities, ensuring compliance with project procedures and timelines.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in event coordination, training logistics or project administration.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical and administrative teams.
