Analista de Compras

About the role

The Purchasing Analyst will manage the organization’s requests for goods and services, ensuring timely attention, effective negotiation, and compliance with internal procurement policies. This role supports operational efficiency and optimal use of institutional resources.

Key responsibilities

• Handle purchase requests from all departments.
• Request, analyze, and compare supplier quotations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
• Track purchase orders from issuance to delivery.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders following established procedures.
• Verify that purchases comply with internal policies and controls.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure agreed conditions are met.
• Coordinate receipt of goods, checking quantities and condition.
• Support inventory control and update warehouse records.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation related to purchases and suppliers.
• Respond to internal client inquiries and provide follow‑up.
• Prepare reports and controls on procurement activities when required.
• Assist the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks.

Required profile

• University studies in progress in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, supply, supplier negotiation or related administrative roles.
• Experience managing purchase requests and purchase orders.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of administrative and procurement processes.
• Strong numerical ability and analytical skills.
