Business Intelligence Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to join TELUS Digital’s Business Intelligence team. The role focuses on analytics, statistical analysis, and the development of data‑driven solutions that improve program performance, client outcomes, and recruitment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop machine‑learning models and pipelines using cloud‑based tools.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by framing problems with stakeholders.
• Validate model performance, iterate, and optimise for accuracy and efficiency.
• Build dashboards, reports, and automated monitoring systems in Looker Studio or similar BI tools.
• Communicate insights clearly to program managers, business leaders and other cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a quantitative role such as analytics consultant, quantitative analyst or product analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
• English proficiency at B2 level (oral and written).
• Consistently meeting performance metrics, 95 % attendance, and at least one year with TELUS Digital.

Required skills

• Python programming (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy).
• Strong SQL for data wrangling and manipulation.
• Machine‑learning knowledge (classification, regression, clustering) using Scikit‑learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data processing and model building.
• Experience with Looker Studio or comparable BI reporting tools.
