Contador Financiero Temporal – Planning & Control

About the role

We are looking for a temporary Financial Accountant to join a multinational agricultural company in Guatemala City. The role supports the Planning & Control area, ensuring accurate accounting and financial information management.

Key responsibilities

• Record and review accounting entries, invoices, provisions, policies and reclassifications.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and fixed assets.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account integrations.
• Execute monthly closing and assist in preparing financial statements.
• Prepare and verify tax filings (VAT, income tax, withholdings) and ensure compliance.
• Generate financial reports and variance analysis for costs, expenses and cost centers.
• Support financial, tax and internal audit processes.
• Participate in physical inventories and stock reconciliations as needed.
• Use Excel and ERP systems for controls, analysis and reporting.
• Maintain communication with all business areas while safeguarding confidentiality.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (Perito Contador) required.
• Advanced or completed studies in Public Accounting and Auditing.
• 3–5 years of experience handling the full accounting cycle.
• Knowledge of Guatemalan tax and accounting legislation.
• Intermediate‑advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Availability to work onsite in Guatemala City, Monday‑Friday 6 am‑3 pm.
• Willingness to travel for occasional site visits, inventory support or audits.
