Project Finance Manager – Major Donor

About the role

The Project Finance Manager will provide financial support for a multi‑year, multi‑million‑dollar contract delivered in Guatemala and Honduras. The role ensures timely, high‑quality financial reporting and budget management to meet donor requirements and internal project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project budgets in line with donor specifications.
• Monitor budgets and conduct regular reviews to keep the project on track.
• Track expenditure variances and communicate significant issues to the project team.
• Produce regular financial reports and statements for stakeholders.
• Manage all financial transactions related to the project.
• Align operational plans with budgets, forecasts, and spend‑out plans.
• Oversee project‑related procurement and advise the project manager on procurement matters.
• Monitor expenditure against income to support the cash drawdown process.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong numeracy and IT abilities, proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience developing and monitoring project budgets.
• Working‑level Spanish or willingness to join a fast‑track language program.
