Regional Project Manager – River Cleanup (Guatemala & Honduras)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Project Manager to lead river cleanup initiatives across Guatemala and Honduras. The role focuses on preventing plastic waste from reaching the oceans through effective project execution, stakeholder engagement, and operational coordination. You will work remotely, based in Guatemala City, and travel regularly within the region and occasionally abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project execution from planning through deployment.
• Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and local partners.
• Build relationships with government agencies and key stakeholders.
• Support procurement and permitting activities.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular updates.
• Ensure operational readiness and successful handover.
• Collaborate with global teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Project Management or a related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong stakeholder and partner management abilities.
• Proven experience managing budgets, schedules and risks.
