Senior Cyber Security Specialist – Onsite LATAM

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join our Latin America team. The position is onsite in Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras or Peru and will play a key role in safeguarding critical systems, networks and business operations against evolving cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate cybersecurity incidents, risks and control failures.
• Assess operational and business impacts of security risks.
• Support incident response and mentor less‑experienced security professionals.
• Develop and present cybersecurity metrics, statistics and reports.
• Recommend remediation strategies to technical and business decision‑makers.
• Help improve cybersecurity procedures, controls and systems.
• Monitor emerging threats and apply best practices to reduce risk.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity and enterprise resiliency initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to strengthen overall security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or related field, or 4+ years equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, Security Specialist or System Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems and security frameworks (NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH or CISM are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint protection solutions.
• Cloud security expertise across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Security administration in Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace environments.
• Scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell or similar languages.
