About the role

The Senior Auditor leads audit engagements for BDO Guatemala, coordinating field work and ensuring compliance with firm standards. The role involves supervising audit assistants, implementing engagement strategies, and maintaining high client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the work of audit assistants to guarantee quality and adherence to firm standards.
• Support the implementation of strategies for each engagement to increase client satisfaction and proposal effectiveness.
• Identify key personnel and priorities for each client and assess team workload capacity.
• Prepare commercial proposals based on workload assessments.
• Keep the Partner and Manager informed of client needs and project status.
• Lead audit teams and ensure timely delivery of audit deliverables.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Accounting and Auditing.
• Knowledge of IFRS (NIIF) and ISA (NIAs) standards.
• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Senior Auditor.
• Proven experience leading audit teams.
• Responsible, proactive attitude with a desire for professional development.

Required skills

• IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• ISA (International Standards on Auditing).
• Advanced Excel.
