Senior Python Software Engineer – Data Engineer

About the role

3Pillar is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer with a strong focus on data engineering to help build and migrate enterprise‑grade solutions to Snowflake and Azure Cloud. You will join a global AI transformation team delivering cutting‑edge platforms that enable intelligent agents for financial services, healthcare, media and technology clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a data and cloud migration framework that accelerates moving on‑premise assets to Snowflake and Azure.
• Assist with migration of existing software assets to cloud platforms and ensure reliable deployment.
• Maintain and enhance the team’s software solutions and infrastructure, following best practices for deployment and management.
• Develop new features, improve existing ones, and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
• Provide accurate status tracking, reporting and estimation using project tools.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new tools, and recommend adoption where appropriate.
• Gather requirements, validate understanding with the team, and produce clear documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior software engineer working with Python in data‑intensive environments.
• Hands‑on experience migrating workloads to Snowflake and Azure Cloud.
• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate status clearly and collaborate in a distributed team.
• Commitment to high code quality and continuous learning.
