About the role

The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for executing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems of a power generation plant. The role ensures equipment reliability and availability by following established procedures and work orders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on plant components and infrastructure according to documented procedures.
• Prepare detailed reports of work performed, documenting all maintenance actions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas following 5S methodology.
• Monitor progress of maintenance plans, corrective work orders and improvement tasks, providing timely reports for decision‑making.
• Identify and communicate situations that could delay or halt planned maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education (Diversificado) or technical degree in Electricity, Electronics, Electromechanics or Mechanics.
• Minimum five years of experience in similar maintenance roles; alternatively, seven years of proven experience without formal education.
• Residence in the vicinity of Jutiapa, Comapa or Jalpatagua.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics.

Required skills

• AC and DC electrical systems, low and medium voltage.
• Asynchronous generators, transformers, electric motors.
• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• PLC programming, control systems, converters, industrial communications.
• Hydraulic components: valves, pumps, accumulators, schematics.
• Windows operating environment and Microsoft Office.
• Industrial mechanics: gears, bearings, torque measurement, lubrication, welding, metals and alloys.
