Threat Intelligence & Response Specialist

About the role

Simply Secure Group is expanding its Threat Intelligence & Response Team across LATAM. We are looking for a motivated professional with foundational cybersecurity experience to join us as a Threat Intelligence & Response Specialist. You will work in a SOC environment, supporting 24/7 monitoring, analysis, and response for client networks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and ingest threat intelligence feeds to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
• Participate in incident investigations, assist with containment, remediation, and document actions taken.
• Conduct structured threat‑hunting searches across logs and systems to uncover suspicious activity.
• Investigate alerts from SIEM and EDR platforms, help tune alerts and analyse data under senior guidance.
• Gather and analyse external and internal threat intelligence, contribute to internal threat summaries and security bulletins.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts, network security, IT and vulnerability management teams, escalating alerts as needed.

Required profile

• Based in El Salvador or another LATAM country.
• Foundational experience in cybersecurity, preferably within a SOC or similar environment.
• Strong interest in deepening skills in threat intelligence, incident response and threat hunting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional technical teams.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms.
• Familiarity with EDR solutions.
• Understanding of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and threat‑intel feeds.
