About the role

BDO Guatemala is seeking a Senior Lawyer and Notary to lead its legal services function. The role combines strategic leadership, brand positioning, and commercial growth within a fast‑expanding audit and consulting firm.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise staffing for legal projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Manage client relationships, oversee billing and collection processes, and meet performance targets.
• Promote a high‑performance culture and continuous improvement across the legal department.
• Provide strategic guidance on corporate, compliance, procedural and labor matters.

Required profile

• Law degree with an active lawyer and notary registration in Guatemala.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Guatemalan corporate, compliance, procedural (civil, commercial, administrative) and labor law.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and deliver client‑focused services.
• English proficiency at B1‑B2 level; a related master’s degree is a plus.
