About the role

The University of the Valley of Guatemala (UVG) is seeking a Professional Associate for Training and Education to serve as the local focal point for J‑PAL LAC’s ADEPT agenda. The associate will bridge UVG and J‑PAL, supporting the design, coordination and delivery of capacity‑building activities in policy evaluation and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between J‑PAL LAC and UVG to implement the ADEPT program.
• Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, administrative staff, students and university leadership to promote J‑PAL’s educational agenda.
• Support the integration of the MicroMasters DEDP credential into UVG’s admission and academic recognition processes.
• Identify synergies with other J‑PAL educational offerings, such as the UC/J‑PAL Impact Evaluation Diploma.
• Coordinate workshops, seminars, and other training events, ensuring logistical and academic quality.
• Assist in the creation of learning materials that align with J‑PAL standards.

Required profile

• University degree in education, social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
• Experience working in higher‑education environments or with international research/education partners.
• Strong communication and networking abilities to engage diverse academic stakeholders.
• Demonstrated interest in evidence‑based policy evaluation and capacity building.

Required skills

• Project coordination and event organization.
• Stakeholder relationship management.
• Familiarity with academic credentialing processes.
