About the role

The University Orientation and Admissions Coordinator will lead the college counseling department, guiding secondary‑school students through the entire university application process, from selecting institutions to securing admission and scholarships.

Key responsibilities

• Advise students on university selection, application timelines, and admission strategies.
• Manage complete application packages for national and international universities, including essays, recommendation letters, standardized‑test preparation, and visa processes.
• Research, track, and communicate scholarship and financial‑aid opportunities.
• Maintain and develop relationships with university admissions offices, educational organizations, and families.
• Organize university fairs, campus visits, workshops, and informational sessions for students and parents.
• Create and maintain the school profile, application platforms, and admissions calendar.
• Produce departmental performance indicators and reports for senior management.
• Train teachers on university recommendation procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of proven experience in college counseling, university admissions, or international educational advising.
• Experience guiding at least one full cycle of university applications from selection to acceptance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Communications, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in English (C1/C2 preferred).
• Willingness to work onsite in San Cristóbal, Mixco, with occasional travel for fairs and conferences.

Required skills

• Fluent Spanish communication.
