Customer Service Executive – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

PIL is seeking a motivated Customer Service Executive to join its Guatemala team. You will act as the primary contact for customer contracts, support sales activities, and ensure smooth booking processes within the shipping and logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Download, process and forward daily booking requests to customers.
• Handle all customer demands promptly and maintain high service standards.
• Ensure accuracy of routes, weight, POL/POD, commodities, temperature and other data in the PIL system.
• Coordinate with Documentation and Sales teams for seamless operations.
• Manage booking amendments, maintain records of customer particularities, and follow up on regular/BID bookings.
• Provide excellent phone support and strive for customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers with problem solving and resolve grievances through internal liaison.
• Promote and ensure adoption of the Pocket PIL tool for volume migration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or a related field.
• Experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry.
• Knowledge of import/export processes and documentation.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
• English proficiency at B1/B2 level or higher.
